About me

A San Diego resident for over two decades, I spent the first half of my life in Cleveland, Ohio. As a child, I instinctively took up a pencil as both a drawing and writing implement. That pencil has been a big part of my life ever since.

After receiving a BFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio—focusing on studio art, drawing, computer art, and creative writing—I moved to San Diego, where I was (and am!) an entrepreneur and graphic designer for many years. I’ve dabbled in illustration and cartooning, animation, screenprinting, sewing, sculpture, and painting as means of expression over the last couple decades. I’ve created logos, illustrations, layouts and other work for a range of clients.

I am exploring my story-telling voice through acrylics, drawing and mixed media. I also aspire to creating a children’s book? a graphic memoir?—there is much to do! I have been a participant of the comics-based coursework in the Sequential Artists Workshop (SAW) out of Florida and at the Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) in Vermont. I’ve received a certificate of completion from San Diego’s Art on 30th vetted artist mentorship program, and I am an active member of San Diego Watercolor Society. My artwork has been represented through southern California galleries, I teach adult art classes, and am always happy to consider commissioned work.

Please drop me a line! Thank you for your interest in my ever-growing artistic journey. Cheers!
